*Makes 4-6 servings
ingredients:
- 1 lb dry pasta
- 1 (8oz) Soiree Sauce Classic Fresh Basil
- Optional:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or pasta water
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 lb ground sausage (or chicken or beef, or shrimp!)
directions:
1. Boil pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, drain the rest of liquid and return pasta to pot.
- Brown ground sausage if using or cook peas or shrimp according to packaging.
2. Toss hot pasta with Soiree Sauce Classic Fresh Basil pesto! To make sauce creamier, add heavy cream or pasta water, a few tablespoons at a time until desired consistency is achieved. Add protein if using. Serve hot and enjoy!
